Visit the Spacecraft Studio this Sunday, July 31 as a part of Open House Melbourne. Our light filled studio is a part of a refurbished post war building built for the British paint company Goodlass Wall and redesigned by John Wardle Architects (JWA). Our neighbours John Wardle Architects and Bus Projects will also be hosting tours of their spaces, making this a great opportunity to visit our creative precinct.

JWA occupies the upper two levels of our building. The energy of architectural production is concentrated on the open plan of the first level. The upper level provides a range of spaces, including a roof terrace and kitchen garden, for diverse kinds of engagement. Our studio and and Bus Projects, an independent arts organisation involved in supporting the critical, conceptual and interdisciplinary practices of Australian artists, are at the ground level with laneway access, which provides a perfect venue for the overflow of guests on the opening night of each new exhibition.

To celebrate Open House Melbourne, Stewart and Danica will be printing the inaugural run of our newest Botanical print this Sunday. The Botanical, Fatsia Japonica, sourced from the JWA designed planters outside the studio will be printed as yardage while we give you a tour of the architect designed studio and our art and design practice.

Visit us at 25 Rokeby Street between 10am and 4pm for an Open House Melbourne tour with Stewart and Danica.

All visitors to the studio during Open House will receive 20% off in-store at 225 Gertrude Street on all Spacecraft design products (excludes artworks).
